Just search on Google for 'VS Code download' and open the first official link: http://code.visualstudio.com.
Here under Windows, you will see a few options. Let me explain quickly:
For 99% of you with a normal laptop with an Intel or AMD Ryzen processor, you need to click on *x64*.
User Installer (Recommended): This installs only for the current user. No admin password needed and it's easy to update. This is best for most people.
System Installer: This installs for all users on your PC. It needs an admin password.
.zip file: This is the portable version. No installation needed. You can just unzip and run it from a pen drive.
CLI: This is Command Line Interface only, without a visual interface. It's for advanced users and servers.
So for this tutorial, we will download *User Installer - x64*."

"Once the file is downloaded, double-click on it.
1. Accept the agreement and click Next.
2. On this screen, tick all 4 checkboxes. Most importantly, tick *'Add to PATH'*. This will help you open VS Code from the terminal.

"Now let's open VS Code and run our first program. I will use Python as an example.
1. Go to the Extensions icon on the left sidebar and search for Python and install the official extension by Microsoft.
2. Now go to *File -New File - Python File*.
3. Save it as `hello.py` on your Desktop.
Now type this simple code:
print("Hello World! VS Code is Working!")
name = input("What is your name? ")
print(f"Welcome {name} to Coding!")
Now click the Run button on the top right corner. And look, our output is showing in the terminal below. Our setup is successful!"
