Immigration is central to New York City’s identity and public policy. Some 37% of New Yorkers are foreign-born, according to the Immigration Research Initiative. But what happens when the city's resources are stretched to a breaking point by an unprecedented migrant crisis?
This episode of Your Voice Matters explores how concentrating large numbers of asylum-seekers in neighborhoods like Clinton Hill can affect residents who are concerned about strained resources, public safety and the influx of thousands of people lacking work permits.
