Our workshop is often asked to overhaul and lubricate bottom brackets, but most modern bottom brackets are maintenance-free. They are cartridge-type bottom brackets with industrial bearings. They are lubricated for their entire life, and if problems arise, the old bottom bracket is simply replaced with a new one.
