This was the strongest of a regional outbreak of tornadoes across Southern Oklahoma with this twister coming in at an EF-4. A second tornado from this storm a bit later might've been even stronger, but it took a path across mostly open terrain. One of the chief weaknesses of the Enhanced Fujita scale is that it is a damage scale -- so it needs tornadoes to actually hit something when they are at their strongest to be truly accurate. But it is also the best possible scale we have since it is pretty much unfeasible to rate tornadoes by any alternative method with any better accuracy.
