Red Hat, Arm, and partners demonstrate a low-footprint containerized 5G network-in-a-box O-RAN compliant solution based on Arm Neoverse N1 CPU and orchestrated by the Red Hat OpenShift container platform. This solution shows Red Hat OpenShift capabilities on the Arm Neoverse platform for a range of use cases, from distributed small cells to private networks and macro deployments.
Arm Neoverse-based platforms provide up to 40% TCO savings for operators and enable scaling virtualized RAN solutions or combining RAN and MEC platforms on a single SoC. The E2E solution comprises O-CU, O-DU, core, and edge platforms all running on Arm Neoverse N1 CPU technology. Phluido pure-CPU H-PHY plus Capgemini upper layers (L2/3), core network, and RSU Edge platform, run on Ampere Altra CPU on a Gigabyte COTS server. Benetel has provided the O-RU. All software modules (Core/MEC/L3/L2/L1) are containerized and run on the Red Hat OpenShift container platform.
