National Day of Prayer
Plans by the extreme elements of evangelical Christians in Fresno to organize a "Christian Only" National Day of Prayer service at Fresno City Hall was thwarted. Members of the Interfaith Alliance of Central California showed up holding signs saying One Nation/Many Faiths. Kamal Abu-Shamsieh, director of the Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno breaks the 16 year-tradition of "Christians Only" event.
