Your hourly rate is everything. If you overcharge clients, they won't come back to you. If you undercharge clients, you will find yourself with lot's of clients but won't feel that you are being compensated fairly.
In this video, I want to explain 3 crucial tips in setting your rate on Upwork.
1 - Research your industry on Upwork to see what other freelancers are charging.
2 - Start with a yearly revenue goal. Divided that by 52 weeks and divide that by 40 hours a week to see if the hourly rate is manageable throughout the year. Adjust the numbers accordingly to see what works for you.
3 - Cheaper is not necessarily better. Avoid marketing yourself as the cheapest option in your industry.
