Spatial interpolation is the process of using points with known values to estimate values at other points. In GIS applications, spatial interpolation is typically applied to a raster with estimates made for all cells. Spatial interpolation is therefore a means of creating surface data from sample points. QGIS interpolation supports Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN) and Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) methods for interpolation. The TIN method is commonly used for elevation data whereas the IDW method is used for interpolating other types of data such as mineral concentrations, populations etc. in this video we've shown you How to perform interpolation with all the existed methods in QGIS.
