Tune in as we take a look at the compiling performance of the new 8-Core i9 MacBook Pro 2019, comparing it to last years base i7 model through the world of hyperthreading, gcc, Xcode, Unreal Engine 4 and Unity 3D.
RESULTS
The i9 performed between 10% to 15% faster on most tests, however the i7 actually performed faster at compiling Unreal Engine 4... Hyperthreading helped out in UE4, but didn't help at all in Unity or Xcode.
