How to wrap text around a shape in Adobe® InDesign®
Here is an outline of the basic steps used in this video to wrap text around a graphic using the pencil tool:
1. Place your graphic into the layout (command + D on a Mac)
2. Position the graphic over your column text and turn off the default text wrap around the rectangle frame
3. Using the pencil too, draw around the area where you want the text to wrap (allowing some space as you will set the wrap panel offset to zero
4. Use the swatch panel to remove any fill or stoke on the pencil outline you created
5. Add other graphic elements if there is room, turning off the text wrap
Mac Key Commands: shift + command + opt + C fits the graphic to the rectangle frame and opt + command + C fits the rectangle frame to the graphic
