How to Use ChatGPT for Course Creation: Outline Your Course
Note: This is the third of several excerpts from a longer live training I taught in March of 2023. Therefore, some of the screen share examples will look a little different from what ChatGPT currently looks like.
However, the prompting guidelines are the same!
In this third video, I demonstrate how you can use ChatGPT to outline a course - including modules, lessons, learning objectives, and learning activities.
In this example, I asked it to use Bloom's Taxonomy as the instructional design model. You can ask it to use something else.
At this point, you will run into some trouble if you don't know your topic and if you don't know what a good learning experience is.
So make sure you stay in the driving seat and don't just take the output you get from ChatGPT as-is.
Remember: AI is your 'assistant'. It can't read your mind, talk to your customers, or make judgment calls.
It's not a replacement for YOU!
