When I contacted Sputnik I wasn't expecting that he would actually send me a set, because my podcast isn't that big YET but he responded and I got this banger set from him. There were a few times he played in Cvetličarna and his sets were always amazing and so good to dance to! Really love your work Sandro and thank you for this set!
Sandro Sputnik is a DJ and has been on the scene for many years . His musical passion began by playing piano and the age of 15 he began to spin records. In 90's he started playing house-commercial sound, moving wuth the house scene in Trieste, his birth place. He became resident DJ at Matt where he played new-wave and then he moved to Vertigo. Moving back to his roots, he tums his musical taste into joy-band sound like Depeche Mode, Cabaret Voltaire, Virgin Prunes, Daf and many others...And his sets became progressive-dreams, playing in Rimini at Chellophan club and Plasmophobia,itinerant one night in the North of Italy. The turning point in his career was back in 1996 when Slovenian club scene grew up: Ambasada Gavioli was born in Izola and Sputnik immediately became resident DJ in techno nights spinnin' records with Valentino Kanziani and Umek, who were residents too. He was a warm up for world best DJs such as Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath, Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke. He refined his sound and musical culture back to back with them. His name became sinonimous of techno scene and he played in Italy, Croatia, Austria, Slovenia, Netherlands and in some of the best clubs across Europe. Nowaday his sets are at borders of house sounds, towards techno-elektro waves with many flashbacks of 70's and 80's, always taking mind of the dancefloor. After collaborations and various studio works, he decides to improve himself in studio, he decided to improve himself as producer and remixer.
