Skogafoss is one of the largest and most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland, a visiting card and a symbol of the country. The width of the waterfall is 25 meters, the height is about 60 meters.
According to legend, during the time of the Vikings, a treasure chest was hidden in a cave behind a waterfall. Years later, a local boy found it, but the chest disappeared and only the ring remained in his hand.
The waterfall is always surrounded by splashes and water dust, so on a sunny day, a beautiful rainbow forms near it. If you climb to the top of it, you will be rewarded with an impressive view of the coast of South Iceland.
