How to Develop Client Side Validations without Page Submit
In this video we look at an example where our developer needs to validate a page item in a form without pressing the submit button. The validation also needs to take into account the numeric value of the inputted field and perform checks against the values of other items on the page.
To solve this problem we will demonstration how to create a dynamic action with a javascript expression. We will leverage the Oracle APEX javscript API to perform x4 parallel validations on the user inputted value and return different alert messages guiding the user on how to resolve the issue. All validation is performed client side in real time without network communication back to the server.
