On June 9, the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court, after reviewing the appeal by Prosecutor Ksenia Vidonova, overturned the acquittal of Vadim Belov, the former deputy head of the Drug Enforcement Department of the Nizhny Novgorod Region's Drug Control Directorate.
As a reminder, Vadim Belov was charged with a particularly serious crime. One of the charges against him carries a life sentence. However, his lawyers proved that the case against him was fabricated.
