Technical standards and Human Rights: OHCHR report

In this invited talk at the W3C 2024 member meeting in Hiroshima, Yoojin and Tim explain the benefits of considering standards through a human rights perspective. The impacts on societies, communities, and individuals should be the guiding themes in standards development. W3C TAG's ethical web principles notably emphasize the need to place internationally recognized human rights at the core of the web platform.
