How to Turn Off or Disable Windows Defender in Windows 11 (2 Methods)
In this video, I will show you how to turn off or disable windows defender in Windows 11.
You will want to type on the search bar “virus”, then, you want to select virus & protection.
This will take you to a new section. Go ahead and select “manage settings”. Now, go ahead and toggle “real time protection” to off. Then, scroll down and toggle cloud-delivered protection off as well.
Alternatively, you can also do the following. Go to your search bar and type “run”. Then on the bottom left menu, type “regedit”. Go ahead and select “okay”.
You will be taken to the registry. From here, select the arrow for H Key local machine, then select software. Scroll down a little and look for policies and choose that. Then, click on microsoft.
Now, right click on “windows defender” and choose new. Then select D Word 12 bit value. Go ahead and rename this to “Disable Anti Spyware”, with a capital letter for each word.
Then, right click this and choose modify. Change the number here from 0 to 1 and choose okay. Restart your computer and anti spyware will be disabled.
