installed rebuilt new process 231j transfer case. It splashed out a quart of transmission fluid on new engine start because I hadnt put a speedometer housing in. I bot an electronic one to get it going. I then bot a cable driven housing from a np229 transfer case. It came with a white bigger gear that goes on input shaft, mine wasnt machined for the c clips that hold it. I then bot a new speedometer gear at half the price of others, new. I used a cable from my 1961 Chevy stepvan, it fit. I need a cable coupling to hook to my original cable, I am not going behind dash to hook to speedometer. Thanks for watching my learning process on jeeps after many years of working on 1964 Chevy novas. I ordered the green gear with 39 teeth count, I measured my tires diameter and read the chart to math the gear ratio.
