Can’t Live Without These Items!
Get ready with me as I put together my pink Y2K outfit in a few steps! Read on to find out about my styling thought process!
Inspired by the Y2K aesthetic and trend that has been sweeping the runways and streets recently, I pulled together an all shocking pink look with various key items from high street fast fashion brands. The oversized shirt and extreme flare denim jeans were picked for the bright neon pink. I wanted a more casual look so I opted for a crop top worn inside and the shirt worn down instead of just the shirt and the jeans. For the crop top I picked a pink that could contrast yet still sit nicely in the background so I settled with a dull pastel. Accessories were picked to be in silver; the Gentle Monster sunglasses with the tinted lenses adding to the aesthetic, and the KALEOS sunglasses chain brought a cohesiveness to the thin silver frame while still being able to draw interest to the neck area. In addition, mirroring the sunglasses chain is the belly chain reminiscent of the Y2K era, a crucial piece of the styling. To tie the whole look together and to get into the whole Y2K fantasy, I had my hair and makeup done with reference to the aesthetic.
