Tag Substitution In FactoryTalk View Machine Edition (Save Time)
Using tag substitution in FactoryTalk View Machine Edition or even FactoryTalk Site Edition will greatly save you time in your HMI editing & design work.
This is a simple example of a traffic light graphic which we have 6 images stacked together & we duplicate the screen then just use the tag substitution feature to replace the tags.
This gets the traffic lights working off a completely separate section of the PLC logic.
In this case, we which from using our ladder logic AOI to using a structured text version of controlling the traffic light using Studio 5000 version 32.
