Introduction :
The incidence of road accidents has increased as technology and motor vehicle manufacture have advanced. Because proper emergency facilities are not available, the survival rate following an accident is extremely low. Our concept would assist in detecting an accident and determining its location, which would then be communicated to the rescue team and the rider's emergency contacts.
Methodology:
1. Arduino UNO acts as the central microcontroller, processing sensor and button inputs.
2. A vibration/ impact sensor detects a sudden shock or accident.
3. Upon detection, a buzzer sounds for 5/10/20 seconds as a prompt for the driver.
4. If the reset button is not pressed, the system triggers a GSM module to send an emergency alert with Live Coordinates.
5. The message can be configured to notify the owner, police, hospital, or ambulance services.
6. A Bluetooth-controlled car prototype is built using: L293D Motor Driver, 2 DC motors for vehicle motion, A smartphone app to simulate driving and trigger accident events
7. The prototype simulates real-world accident detection and emergency notification with affordable components.
