Everyone's Netflix account is pretty much the same as the account operates worldwide. However the version you see is heavily dependent on your location as there are different versions in different countries. So a Netflix user will see the US version when in the US but if they travel to Europe they'll see a completely different version.
Some versions of Netflix are far superior to others so it's useful to be able to switch when you need to. For example Anime fans will be advised to check out the Japanese version where this format is much more popular.
