hi i edited (most of) the audio myself and kinda did a really shoddy job of it so im sorry that ur precious ears have to be in pain for like half the video
most of the art in this video is from a few months ago so uhh ya some parts might look very different from other parts
Anyway if ur really confused about what's going on, here's his backstory (tldr note at the bottom ;3) :
When Tristis was born, he was the only one out of his siblings to have a golden eye. Having a golden eye meant you had magical powers, Tristis' power was to make stuff levitate from a few meters away.
His mum is delighted to have a child with powers, however, his dad only sees it as an opportunity to make money.
(not really important but it gives context to the story: In his country, cats with golden eyes are encouraged to go to the factory to have their golden eyes removed. If a cat has their golden eye removed, they will be given lots of money. The golden eyes are stored away, and when the eye produces magic, workers will extract it from the eye then put the eye back into a container and let it produce more magic again. honestly idk what they do with the magic but they just want it ok)
His mum and dad get into a fight over him, his dad hits her and leaves the house with Tristis, leaving her helplessly bleeding out on the ground. He takes Tristis to the factory and they accept him, they treat him (so he cant use his powers to escape) and put him in a cage. They leave him there until he reaches the legal age for eye removal, which is like until he's a young adult or something. During the time he's there he meets a girl and they lov each other but then ooh nooo she dies bc of an infection
and now tristis is a traumatized angsty boye who hates his papa
TLDR; he's born with a magic golden eye which has a lot of value. His parents fight over it, and his dad takes him to some golden-eye-removal factory to trade Tristis' golden eye for money.
