Option 1: Share a Link to the Reel on Threads
1. *Open Instagram* and go to your **profile**.
2. Tap on the *Reels* tab and select the Reel you want to share.
3. Tap on the *Share icon* (the little airplane icon) on the lower right side.
4. Choose the *Share to* option at the bottom of the menu.
5. In the share options, select the **Threads app**.
6. This will open a new post on Threads with a **link to your Reel**. You can add a comment or caption if you'd like.
7. Post it to Threads.
**Result**: On Threads, your post will display the Reel's cover image as a thumbnail. When someone clicks on the thumbnail, they’ll be taken to Instagram to view the full Reel.
Option 2: Post the Reel Directly to Threads
1. **Download the Reel**:
On Instagram, go to the Reel you want to share.
Tap on the *Share icon* (the airplane icon) and select *Save* to download the Reel to your device.
2. *Open Threads* and start a new post.
3. Tap on the *attachment icon* (the paperclip or photo icon) to upload media.
4. Select the *Reel video* you downloaded from your device’s gallery.
5. Add a caption or comment if you like, then **post it**.
Summary
*Option 1* is ideal if you want to direct viewers back to Instagram to watch your Reel.
*Option 2* is best if you want to share the video directly on Threads for your followers to view within the app.
