For the first time in Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz immigrants from the Pamirs held a wedding in their own tradition. The wedding ceremony was accompanied by such traditions as “jilik tartysh”, “kol kurosh”, “shakek-yuzduk” and “olen kurosh”. The wedding organizers say that if this wedding had been held in the Pamirs, it would have been accompanied by large-scale national games such as ulak tartysh and Kyrgyz kurosh and would have lasted 2-3 days. Local residents, as well as ethnic Kyrgyz who had migrated to Kyrgyzstan from a number of countries such as Turkey, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, also came to the wedding.
