Novation Launch Control XL (Mk2) & FL Studio - Mixer Integration!
The Novation Control XL Mk2 is an excellent MIDI controller for Ableton, but its utility extends far beyond that! Unfortunately, FL Studio users need to deal with half‑heartedly implemented legacy mappings. A pity, because while the FLKey is a MIDI keyboard primarily designed for FL Studio, I was missing a device that gave me a user‑friendly way to efficiently control the mixer. With the Launch Control XL3, Novation delivered, but personally I prefer the look and feel of its predecessor.
So: here is a template with the matching script for the LCXL 2 that makes the most of the available possibilities. I’ve mapped all the buttons intuitively and hope this brings back some joy in mixing. Analog fans already know that a mouse can never replace real knobs and faders. :-) Looking forward to your feedback.
