The app now allows Ford vehicle owners to start, unlock, and lock their cars without a physical key. It also supports scheduled maintenance and unlocking EV chargers, including Tesla Superchargers.
The update brings new features specifically for EV owners. These include one-tap vehicle controls, quicker access to the Smartphone key, and improved charge management with a simplified slider for target charge.
Ford F-150 Lightning owners benefit from a new climate control feature. This allows them to prepare their cabin temperature remotely, ensuring it's comfortable before getting in.
Ford CEO Jim Farley announced these updates, which also include UI improvements for ICE vehicles.
