Ever wonder why some days are windier than others? Wind is caused by a pressure gradient force, which is air moving from an area of high pressure to one of low pressure. It's curved by a Coriolis Effect caused by the rotation of the Earth. And it's veered and backed by surface friction close to the ground. All three forces produce the wind we encounter in flight!
