Art integration
KIIT World School hosted a CBSE Capacity Building Program on Art Integration on April 17, 2023. The interactive workshop was conducted by two distinguished and seasoned resource persons, Ms. Archana Narain, Principal, The Indian Heights School, Dwarka and Dr. Naveen Gupta, ICT Head, St. Mark's School, Meera Bagh. The session aimed to enhance the creative teaching skills of educators, while promoting artistic expression as a means of enhancing learning outcomes.
The programme was initiated to help teachers become more proficient in integrating arts into various subject areas, including math, science, social studies, and language arts.The session began with an ice-breaker activity where all the participants, who were divided into different teams, introduced themselves using adjectives. A few videos were also shown to the participants to make them aware of the need to integrate art into the curriculum. Teachers learned how to incorporate the arts into their existing curriculum and lesson plans, as well as how to design new activities that integrate art in meaningful ways.
