The Tamron 70-180mm for the Sony e mirrorless cameras has photographers such as myself excited. With its new VXD motor the autofocus speed, accuracy, smoothness has gotten a huge upgrade all while managing to keep it extremely quiet, meaning it’s great not just for photos but for video as well. Having said that, I’m I set up various sized items such as a book, a water bottle, a bobblehead, and a nickel around our showroom and put the autofocus speed and accuracy to the test. I also took a few shots of myself running towards the camera to see how well it would focus on a moving subject.
