I deeply resonate with Kotetsu, I relate too well with him to all of his motives, actions, responses, (less so on expressions) and just how he tends to bottle things up and put on a goofy face to make sure everyone else is having a good time.
And then I started thinking about this song, while it's not exactly about being goofy to cheer others up, it's about having to keep your emotions locked up and present as a happy person having a good time, because you aren't allowed to cry (especially hard for men because they get mocked a lot for being too sensitive.) And in my family... crying is not allowed, not unless you're our mom. Everyone else is made fun of and belittled.
So I learned that you can't cry unless in private. And crying can hurt if you hold them back for too long.
I want y'all to know you are never too weak if you cry, and that crying is a true strength, not everyone is brave enough to be so vulnerable and deeply emotional. Don't torture yourself, and let those tears come out, you need to let those feelings pass to truly heal.
It's a long road to recovery, but i promise, crying has helped me. :')
