How to Create a Sampler Instrument – This week’s video is all about how to create a sampler instrument in Logic Pro X. This video takes a simple vocal scale and turns it into a synth like instrument in a quick and easy way! Using this technique can be really useful when you want to create some unique sounds or when you want to add in extra vocal parts that your singer hasn’t recorded – simply create an instrument from their recorded vocal and play in the extra parts you want!
This video covers how to prepare your track, how to create the instrument, how to save the instrument and some of my favourite effects to add to this type of instrument. This video is aimed at beginner to intermediate home producers, engineers and musicians.
Topics and Timings:
1. Intro (0:00 – 1:26)
2. Preparing the Track (1:16 – 1:56)
3. Creating the Instrument (1:56 – 3:11)
4. Saving the Instrument (3:11 – 3:39)
5. Additional Effects (3:39 – 4:52)
6. Final Thoughts (4:52 – 5:43)
