Does this piss you off when a new house is being built in your neighborhood?
Another benefit of having this #4 aggregate (gravel) down on the driveway is it’s a good base for the driveway. It will get months of heavy trucks driving on it to really compact the ground before you put your driveway down.
It will also reduce the amount of mud being tracked in the house. I’ve seen some pretty rough jobs with mud caked into the brand new concrete walkways and even inside.
