Hello students! Welcome to Homework Minutes.
Do you know if #computer science is your field, then discrete #mathematics is the foundation course for compiler design, database, operating system, and automata theory. Let us get to know more about it.
What is Discrete mathematics?
The study of discrete (noncontinuous or distinct )objects isn't a branch of mathematics, preferably an illustration of a set of branches that are "discrete."
Why study Discrete mathematics?
If you are a Computer science student, this subject is the foundation course for compiler design, database, operating system, and automata theory.
Difference b/w Discrete and continuous.
1.An object which has a beginning and ending to it is a #Discrete object. For example, the number of people in a room, the road, natural numbers, and much more.
2.There is no gap between continuous objects; every point is attached to another point. For example, real numbers are continuous. Between 6 and 7, you can find thousands of no, like 6.01, 6.102, and so on.
How does this help in everyday life?
It #solves issues like; sorting the number of integers, GPS uses discrete maths to find the shortest distance, encrypting messages, making different combinations of easy passwords.
