Hello everyone! In this video, I’m taking you to Fener Burnu (also known as Çamburnu) in Giresun—a place that has held a special spot in my heart since my childhood. This is a wild, untouched, and pristine rocky point where nature remains completely undisturbed. 🌊🪨
The Hidden Danger: An Underwater River Fener Burnu might look calm from the surface, but the conditions underwater are a different story. There are submerged rocks offshore that only reveal themselves during wavy weather. The current here can be as strong as a river. In this video, you'll see me battling these currents—at times, I had to grip the seaweed with all my strength just to stay in position, but the force of the water was so strong it would tear the plants right out of my hands! 🔱🌀
An Adrenaline-Filled Hunt: As the waves picked up, I felt the "surf wave" effect underwater to my core. While performing the "Agachon" (waiting in ambush) at the bottom, seeing the foam of giant waves passing over me was terrifying yet incredibly exciting. Despite these harsh conditions, I managed to secure two beautiful seabass and one mullet. 🎯🐟
Feast by the Waves: I forgot the exhaustion of the hunt in the arms of nature. I gathered some wood, lit a fire, and waited for my cast-iron skillet to get piping hot. Right next to the crashing waves and under an overcast sky, we cooked the fresh fish. There’s nothing like the taste of a fish you caught by fighting the elements, eaten right on the seashore. 🥘🔥
