The cylinder is closed from both sides. So, do not wonder about how we add aggregates to it, there's a small hole in the curved portion to fill the cylinder. The rest of the procedure is quite similar to the Aggregate Impact Test. Higher the crushing value, lower is the resistance of aggregates towards abrasion or they are not much harder.
