1998 Honda VFR800 (RC46) Clutch Microswitch - DIY
A common issue with 5th Gen Honda VFR800's is a loud electrical noise heard coming from the front end of the bike (similar to leaves rustling). Usually this is because of the Clutch Micro switch having dirty contacts or a short internally. Generally this can be fixed by using sandpaper to clean the contact surfaces inside the switch and using electrical contact cleaner. If the switch is faulty they are cheap and inexpensive to replace.
