Hypernatrema nursing mnemonic for symptoms: nursing NLCEX memory trick. Hypernatremia occurs when there is too much sodium in the blood.
To remember some of the main signs and symptoms of hypernatremia, just remember no "FRIED" foods for you (since fried foods are often high in sodium).
Nurse Sarah's Mnemonic for hypernatremia:
F=Fatigue
R= Restless
I = Increased reflexes
E= Extreme thirst
D= Dry mouth & skin
