So in this video I'm testing the fifine K669D dynamic microphone. The test part of this video was originally a preliminary test for myself but as I was very impressed with the mic, for what it is, I decided to post the results.
In the video I also test the K669D with a cheap inline preamplifier, the Manayo DM3. However the K669D easily has enough gain on its output to be used without an inline preamp.
I also tryout the RODE WS2 foam filter with the K699D as some of the positions I try the K669D in, meant that I was going to plosive the microphone.
For the £36 I paid for it I have absolutely no complaints. Is it the best podcast microphone in the world? No. However, for a cheap dynamic microphone it sounds a lot better than many others out there.
Is it the best sounding microphone in the world? No. But its sound is definitely way better than to be expected for such a cheap microphone.
For an entry level into microphones, podcasting, vlogging and a microphone for YouTube videos. You seriously can't go wrong at this price.
