In this video, we will see how to create subnets for class C networks or in class C IP addresses along with practical implementation of the same. we will see step by step process of class C subnetting.
First we will see example with /25 CIDR and also understand how to calculate the following to create subnets:
Number of subnets- how many subnets will be created using this CIDR value.
New Subnet Mask- subnet mask for created subnets since new subnet mask will be used for the subnets.
Number of host per subnet- how many valid host will be there in each subnet.
Block Size- what will be the subnet length.
After calculating the above mentioned values we will create subnets and foe each subnet we will calculate the following:
Subnet ID / Address
First valid IP address
Last valid IP address
Broadcast address
Then we will see the practical implementation of subnet addresses and we will also take another example using CIDR value /27
