Dr. Ali Shirsavar explains how to choose the set the correct injection signal size during loop gain measurements. The injection signal size is a critical parameter in loop gain measurements. Excessive signal level can cause non-linear behavior to show up in the measurement result whereas insufficient signal level will lead to noisy measurement results. In this video the Bode 100 VNA is used to measure the loop gain of a high-gain flyback converter using the B-WIT 100 injection transformer. To achieve high-gain measurements at low frequencies and correct results at crossover frequency, the shaped-level feature of the Bode Analyzer Suite is used to inject different signal levels at different frequencies.
