For this project, we reused several pieces of wood left over from other projects, so the cost was almost zero, but Douglas gives an idea of the cost of the wood in today's video, which may vary depending on the time and region.
This wooden table was inspired by the industrial-style table, which usually has its supports and legs made of iron.
In this project, we maintain the design but replace the iron structure with wood. The result was fantastic; we achieved a dining table made entirely of wood, with a modern yet rustic design, since we used various woods of different colors.
The wooden tabletop, as Douglas explains and shows in the video, was made at the lumberyard using a procedure that involves interlocking the pieces of wood.
Glue is added to these joints in the wooden tabletop, and then it is pressed, in this case, for 24 hours.
Afterwards, the tabletop is sanded to give it a finish and is ready to be installed on the legs.
The table legs were made of angelim wood, the tabletop of eucalyptus, and the sides of itauba wood. All in solid wood, measuring 80cm wide by 2.00 meters long and 85cm high, accommodating 8 people.
