Twitter has recently announced that they will be turning off free access to their API 🤯. This means that projects that rely on the Twitter API will no longer be able to access Twitter data for free 😞. This will increase the barrier to entry to creating apps that use Twitter’s data (your data) which can hurt innovation 🤔.
But why is it that these companies have full ownership by the data created by you 🤔? And is there an alternative?
Blockchain data cannot be censored or made unavailable by a centralized body 🙌. Also, developers can build apps that put the power into the users’ hands by enabling users to control who sees & uses their data . Social media built on blockchain data is the future 🔮. Developers 👨💻(&users 🤳) will never have to worry about access being cut off 🙂.
