VW OEM Backup Camera to RCA Installation (RCD330 Plus - Noname 187B)
My car: 2015 VW Passat TDI SE
I've tried several different OEM to RCA backup camera adapters and they've all failed. The one linked below is specifically for the Passat; however the wiring should be the same as others generic VW OEM to RCA adapters.
I didn't mention how the yellow RCA cable plugs in. My headunit came with an adapter so if you don't have one, you'll need to get one like this, which plugs in to the back of the headunit (you have to remove/disconnect the existing plug and replace it with this one):

I'm running the OEM camera to an RCD330 Plus NoName. I use an OBDEleven to clear the airbag fault from disconnecting the cable when removing the trim to pull the headunit out. A standard ODBII reader cannot clear this type of fault. I also use it to check whether or not the backup camera is enabled, which it is enabled. You can also make a ton of other customizations to your car; it's awesome!
