Goal.
Explaining basic concepts of geometric topology in an intuitive way.

This time.
Lecture “What is...geometric topology?’’; lecture 6. (Or rather: the stuff I wasn't able to say in lecture 5.)

Disclaimer.
Nobody is perfect, and I might have said something silly. If there is any doubt, then please check the references.

Disclaimer.
Geometric topology is usually the study of manifolds. This can mean manifold things ;-) So to be precise, this lecture is mostly about knots, surfaces, and graphs.

Sorry.
These lectures were automatically recorded via the University of Sydney’s recording system. The audio quality could be better, I guess, but I can't change that.

But be careful that the choice of topics is different and the order is also different!
