This explains how to SSH and SFTP at a fairly high level. It was done in Windows 7 but all of the utilities work in every consecutive release of Microsoft windows.
I've used this tutorial to successfully explain to piles and piles of people who have no idea about this kind of thing for literally years. So I figured I would publish the video publicly in case someone needed to know what to do.
