At Autodesk University, CEO Andrew Anagnost and Animation Product Manager Lance Thornton showcased new AI-powered tools in Maya that can speed up production. They demoed MotionMaker, which blends keyframing, motion capture, and machine learning to quickly generate usable motion; a preview of FaceAnimator, which creates facial and lip-sync animation from audio using your project’s existing rigs and style; and a preview of Autodesk Assistant, which uses natural language to automate creative tasks like adjusting lighting.
