With Power Query this would have been a much less time consuming task and with no coding needed.From any workbook that you want to create a file inventory in, you can create a From Folder query. Go to the Data tab in the ribbon and select Get Data from the Get & Transform section. Then choose the From File option in the menu and then the From Folder option in the submenu.Add the folder path of the parent folder which you want to query. You can copy and paste this from a windows file explorer address bar or you can use the Browse option to select the folder.
