The coronavirus pandemic played out alongside already heightened tensions between the United States and China. The motivation for the PsyOp was in part, as payback for Beijing’s efforts to blame Washington for the virus, and also due to China's intentions to give away its vaccines to poorer nations, once it had vaccinated its own population.
