The machine translation post-editing (MTPE) Training Special Interest Group operates as a time-limited, collaborative community project. With monthly teleconferences and offline work, the SIG is developing a set of best practices for training professionals who will conduct post-editing activities.
Once the protocol is finalized, GALA will disseminate and evangelize the recommendations and protocols.

Viveta Gene (Intertranslations) - Translation & Localization Industry Specialist at Intertranslations S.A. Having more than 15 years of experience as a Linguist and Vendor Manager, she recently decided to combine her expertise and know-how to become a Language Solutions Specialist. With an MA in Translation and New Technologies from the Department of Foreign Languages and Interpreting of the Ionian University, her main focus is to promote the new trends in the industry, where translation skills meet MT technology. MT tools and post-editing techniques are amongst her key fields of interest.
Lucía Guerrero (CPSL) - Machine Translation Specialist at CPSL and also part of the collaborative teaching staff at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. In the translation industry since 1998, she has been senior Translation and Localization Project Manager, managed localization projects for Apple Computer and translated children’s and art books.
